Acceptable Use Policy

Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the RevOG platform, including Track and Target (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to comply with this policy.

This policy exists to protect the integrity of our platform, the security of our users' data, and the reputation of the industry professionals who rely on RevOG for their daily operations.

Permitted Use

RevOG is designed for legitimate business use by licensed industry professionals. Permitted uses include:

  • Managing and analyzing sales data through Track
  • Organizing customer relationships and sales pipelines through Target
  • Generating reports and analytics to support business decisions
  • Collaborating with team members within your organization
  • Integrating with authorized third-party services through our supported APIs

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using the RevOG platform:

Illegal Activities & Regulatory Violations

  • Using the platform in connection with unlicensed or illegal operations
  • Violating any applicable federal, state, or local regulations
  • Facilitating transactions in jurisdictions where such sales are not authorized

Unauthorized Access & Security

  • Attempting to access accounts, data, or systems that you are not authorized to access
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of our systems without prior written authorization
  • Circumventing or attempting to circumvent authentication, authorization, or security mechanisms

Data Scraping & Extraction

  • Using automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract data from the platform
  • Systematically downloading or copying platform data beyond normal usage
  • Reverse-engineering or decompiling any part of the platform

Account Misuse

  • Sharing login credentials with unauthorized individuals
  • Allowing access to your account by anyone outside your organization
  • Creating accounts under false or misleading information
  • Using another user's account without their explicit permission and proper organizational authorization

Malicious Content & Interference

  • Uploading files containing viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Attempting to interfere with the proper functioning of the platform, including denial-of-service attacks
  • Introducing code or data designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure

Competitive Misuse

  • Using the platform to compile competitive intelligence about RevOG
  • Accessing competitor data that you are not authorized to view
  • Using data obtained through the platform to unfairly compete with other RevOG users

API Usage

If you access the RevOG platform through our APIs, the following additional guidelines apply:

  • Respect published rate limits. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary or permanent throttling of your API access.
  • Use API keys and tokens securely. Never expose credentials in client-side code, public repositories, or shared environments.
  • Do not use API access to circumvent platform usage limits or restrictions.
  • Integrations must comply with all other terms of this policy and our Terms of Service.

Data Integrity

Maintaining accurate data within the platform is critical for your business and the broader industry ecosystem. You agree to:

  • Enter accurate and truthful information into the platform
  • Not falsify sales data, customer records, or analytics information
  • Promptly correct any inaccuracies you discover in your organization's data
  • Not manipulate or tamper with data belonging to other users or organizations

Compliance

As a user of the RevOG platform, you are responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing your industry in your jurisdiction. This includes but is not limited to:

  • State and local licensing requirements
  • Seed-to-sale tracking and reporting obligations
  • Data retention and record-keeping requirements specific to your jurisdiction
  • Privacy and data protection laws applicable to your customers and contacts

RevOG provides tools to assist with compliance but does not guarantee regulatory compliance. You remain solely responsible for ensuring your use of the platform meets all legal requirements.

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report them promptly to abuse@revog.com. Please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, any relevant usernames or organization names, and supporting evidence.

We take all reports seriously and will investigate in a timely manner. Reports may be submitted anonymously, though providing contact information may help us follow up with additional questions.

Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in actions including, but not limited to:

  • Warning — A written notice describing the violation and required corrective action.
  • Temporary suspension — Temporary restriction of access to the platform while the violation is investigated.
  • Permanent termination — Permanent removal of access for severe or repeated violations.
  • Legal action — Pursuit of legal remedies for violations that cause harm to RevOG, its users, or third parties.

The severity of enforcement action will depend on the nature, frequency, and impact of the violation. We reserve the right to take immediate action without prior notice for severe violations that pose a threat to platform security or user safety.
